I think EVERYTHING is good. Every taste, every texture, has a time and a place where it is perfect. Every flavor has an ethos that evokes a different era or culture, and can create and sustain satisfying experiences for us. I think that cocktails have often been the catalyst and the glue for my most cherished experiences

In other words, I like a good drink. I like making a good drink. And I can’t think of a situation where there isn’t a “right” drink. So I started this blog as a way of recording my favorite drinks, while at the same time recording why it is a favorite. Because the story, the background, changes the taste.

I’m no bartender, I’m an enthusiastic amateur who likes things a certain way. There are dozens of excellent cocktail blogs out there, so I included a custom search over on the left that allows you to search my favorites for whatever strikes your fancy.

A note about drink recipes: I list ingredients by parts when the drink recipe could be made for as many or as few drinks as you like. I list specific measurement where the drink has to be made one-at-a-time, such as when there is muddling in the serving glass.
